Oxford’s Historic May Day Celebration

On May Day morning, May 1st, a centuries-old tradition is upheld by the city of Oxford…

Locals and visitors alike gather in their thousands to hear the choir of Magdalen College sing-in the new May sunrise from the top of Chapel Tower. The choir sings the Medieval Eucharist hymn at 6am.

It’s quite a spectacle, if you don’t mind the early start!
